Amsterdam, 22-03-2022 – The Vredestein Ultrac Vorti+ has taken top spot in a group test of summer tyres conducted by AutoBild, one of Germany’s leading motoring magazines. Evaluated alongside 10 rival products, the premium Vredestein high-performance tyre secured first place and was named “exemplary” by the independent test team.

The Ultrac Vorti+ also took second place in Autobild’s ‘mixed tyres’ category, which analysed tyre performance when using two different sizes – with a larger tyre for the rear axle; common on premium and high-performance vehicles.

The 225/45 R 18 size tyres were put through their paces in a variety of conditions, including wet and dry surfaces, and with detailed analysis of braking, aquaplaning and rolling resistance capabilities. The Ultrac Vorti+ consistently outperformed the competition in the wet handling elements of the tests.

AutoBild noted that the Vredestein Ultrac Vorti+ has a “sporty summer profile on a balanced high-performance level…” as well as “good wet grip.”

Daniele Lorenzetti, Chief Technology Officer, said; “These latest testing results prove that our growing portfolio of Vredestein tyres continues to outperform other products in the European market. This is the result of investing heavily into R&D to ensure that the products like the Ultrac Vorti+ maintain a performance edge and still excel in terms of safety.”

The Vredestein Ultrac Vorti+ is a part of Vredestein’s ‘high-performance’ tyre range. Rated (Y) for speeds above 300km per hour, this tyre is optimised for use on premium and high-performance cars and SUVs. With a stiffer sidewall (compared to the Ultrac tyre) and specially designed compound and tread pattern, the Vorti+ has been developed for both front and rear axle use – as validated by the AutoBild ‘mixed tyres’ test.
