Apollo Tyres, the long-standing Official Tyre Partner of the iconic 1000 Miglia classic car rally through its Vredestein passenger car tyre brand, is collaborating with Dutch car manufacturer Carice Cars for this year’s 1000 Miglia Green event.
The very first production model of the all-electric TC2 sportscar will be equipped with Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres when it participates in the 1000 Miglia Green, which is for electric vehicles and hybrids only and runs in parallel to the main 1000 Miglia rally. Both events will tackle scenic and challenging roads between Brescia and Rome, from 11 to 15 June.
As Official Tyre Partner, the Vredestein brand of Apollo Tyres will be visible at the 1000 Miglia, 1000 Miglia Green, Coppa delle Alpi as well as Warm Up USA and will feature in each event’s online and offline marketing.
Carice is set to make its debut at the 1000 Miglia Green in June, showcasing the TC2’s distinctive fusion of retro style and modern technology, as it prepares to complete its first batch of vehicles for European customers. The vehicle is a hand-crafted convertible sportscar, designed and manufactured in the Netherlands. Weighing just 630 kg, it combines cutting-edge technology with timeless aesthetics, and delivers a range of over 300 km from a single charge. This year’s 1000 Miglia Green marks the first public event in which the TC2 can be seen driven outside of the Netherlands,
The ethos of the TC2 echoes that of the Vredestein Sprint Classic, a summer tyre that blends retro looks with modern standards of performance. Aided by a sophisticated tread compound and advanced structure, the Sprint Classic provides superior levels of grip and traction in wet and dry conditions and is rated at speeds of up to 270 km/h. Developed for enthusiasts with an eye for detail and design, the Sprint Classic will enhance both the visual appeal and the overall driving experience of the TC2.
Participants in the 1000 Miglia Green will be tested on their driving and navigation skills through a series of challenges that factor in average speeds, time objectives and distances covered, with points awarded accordingly.
