In efficiency tests, the new Castrol POWER1 ULTIMATE lubricant enabled the test motorcycle to travel eight metres further than its 10W-50 counterpart1 . Castrol POWER1 ULTIMATE is also proven to provide bikes and scooters with 50% better wear protection2. In addition, tests were conducted using a chassis dyno to assess smooth, judder-free clutch engagement3. Finally, testing demonstrated that Castrol POWER1 ULTIMATE lubricant helps engines to remain cool4 and maintain power5, even during extreme long-distance tests.

Castrol recently launched a refreshed brand identity aimed at better reflecting its unique position in the market and the changing needs of customers. The introduction of newly designed bottles is part of Castrol’s delivery of its PATH360 sustainability strategy6 that sets out aims to help save waste, reduce carbon and improve lives.

The packaging for Castrol’s small pack product range in Europe has been updated to use less plastic. Castrol ’s new five-litre bottle uses 20% less plastic compared to the previous five-litre bottle7, one of the best-selling products in the Castrol range8. It is expected that these measures will help to save 1,000 tonnes of plastic use in Europe on an annual basis when compared to previous small bottle designs and aggregated across the full bottle range9.

Castrol POWER1 is trusted by high-performance motorcycle brands such as Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio and Vespa, and is also recommended by the Aprilia and LCR Honda MotoGP teams.
