Castrol has launched a new campaign to help workshops increase their footfall, boost sales and drive local brand awareness. Developed as part of its 125th anniversary celebrations1, the new campaign features a competition for automotive workshop staff, plus a separate competition for workshop customers, with both offering prize draws to win a track day experience and F1 factory tour.
Workshops will be provided with a range of assets to attract customer participation in the campaign, including leaflets, display banners, web banners and social media videos.
Competition prizes for workshops and customers2
Castrol is offering one lucky workshop employee winner, and one successful workshop customer, a PalmerSport track day experience where they can test their high-speed driving skills in a wide range of high-performance vehicles, including a JP Le Mans prototype, Ginetta G56 GTA, BMW M4 GTP and Caterham Seven. The experience will also include full professional driver tuition.
The winners of the star prize will also be given a behind-the-scenes tour of the BWT Alpine F1® factory in Enstone, Oxfordshire, England to see the role Castrol plays in optimising race-car performance. Castrol has a team of dedicated engineers embedded in the BWT Alpine F1® Team who work in partnership with race engineers to create bespoke, ultra-low viscosity lubricants built to protect engines from the phenomenal forces at work during motor racing.
The star prize includes travel and transfer to the two UK-based venues, two nights’ accommodation, and full hospitality. A total of twenty runners-up for both the workshop and consumer competitions will also each receive a £/€125 voucher.
Workshops can enter the exclusive workshop-only competition draw by uploading a picture of the display materials at their premises.
As Castrol celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2024, it recently unveiled a bold new ‘Onward, Upward, Forward’ strategy to meet the changing needs of customers, as well as a special 125-year commemorative logo that will be used throughout 2024 at events and with sponsorship activities.
