Castrol MAGNATEC 0W-20 GSX/DSX lubricant enhances wear protection for Stellantis vehicle engines.
Castrol has launched MAGNATEC 0W-20 GSX/DSX, a low-viscosity lubricant specially formulated to deliver high standards of wear protection for engines fitted to a wide range of Stellantis group vehicles*.
The new MAGNATEC formulation is the first to meet both Fiat 9.55535-GSX and Fiat 9.55535-DSX specifications that cover Euro 6 petrol and diesel engines. The new product is also compatible with the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association’s (ACEA) C5 and C6 specifications.
This latest addition to the MAGNATEC product range is now available to workshops in large packs of 208- and 60-litres, and smaller packs of 5- and 1-litre capacities.
In terms of vehicle application, Castrol MAGNATEC 0W-20 GSX/DSX can be used in vehicles where Fiat 9.55535 DSX or GSX specification is required, such as those featuring the 1.6 and 2.0 MultiJet AdBlue engines found in the Fiat 500L, 500X, Tipo, and Doblo, as well as the Jeep Compass and Renegade. The product is also suitable for the 1.6 JTDm, 2.0 JTDm and 2.2 JTD engines found in the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, Giulia and Stelvio where Fiat 9.55535 DSX specification is required.
Castrol MAGNATEC has been developed to meet the unique demands of modern driving. A significant 75% of engine wear happens at the start of a journey and continues when cars accelerate, slow down and idle in city driving**.
Castrol MAGNATEC clings like a magnet to critical engine parts and locks in place to deliver 50% better engine wear protection***. This helps to safeguard an engine’s vital components, including the valvetrain, timing chain, pistons, and bearings, from damage and wear.
