Mitsubishi Motors Europe today announces that the next generation ASX will go on sale in Spring 2023.
The new generation ASX will replace the current model which was one of the first SUVs to compete in the nascent compact SUV segment and became one of Mitsubishi’s most successful models in recent years, selling nearly 380 000 units since launch in 2010.
Competing in the heart of the popular Small SUV market, the new generation ASX will offer a complete package of equipment including the latest technology and a full range of powertrains, including a Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) and Hybrid (HEV).
Mitsubishi Motors was the first manufacturer to launch a Plug-in Hybrid SUV, and has sold over 200 000** Plug-in Hybrid SUVs in Europe since 2013, following the success of the pioneering Outlander PHEV and the Eclipse Cross PHEV which was launched in 2021.
The new ASX will be based on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance CMF-B platform, and manufactured at Renault’s Valladollid plant in Spain.
